WHO IS ERIC
Eric Ford Rojas is a native Californian living in Washington, DC. He grew up in Los Angeles and attended Santa Clara University, where he received a BA in Philosophy and a BS in Political Science in 2006. After a year of working in professional research in New York City, he attended Boston University and received an MA in International Relations and International Communication in 2009.
Eric is fascinated by the influence of the Internet on political culture. His Master's thesis, Landmarks in Havana, discussed the use of blogs by political dissidents in Cuba. He is an advocate of transparency and Internet freedom, and is passionate about using the power of communication technologies to fulfill democratic ideals.
Eric is also a website and graphic designer, who has found that his coding and design skills have been invaluable to his qualitative research work. His theoretical background provides unique insight to IT solutions. He enjoys modern art, science fiction and foreign films. He can be found listening to a wide variety of music and lots of Tom Waits. He's also a streaky dart player. Eric hopes to return to California once he's had his fill of the East Coast.
